Otherwise I have been busy planning a baby shower for my first grandson due to arrive in 10 weeks.
With the power of technology we are able to now see 3d pictures inside the womb.
A miracle indeed.

I found a link on Pinterest for these monster bibs and they have been such fun to make. Other than that I have not made much more yet. Basically very tired when I get home.
I have been doing some reading . A few months ago I purchased this wonderful book at Green http://Betsyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16992246515171206371noreply@blogger.com25tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8547365863584922457.post-72943299369449373232014-02-14T16:45:00.001-08:002014-02-14T16:45:31.681-08:00A new quilt for my grand daughterWith my daughter having a baby come September, I am on a time crunch to get all my nieces and grand daughter birthday and Christmas gifts done early so I can help with her baby and plan a baby shower all before school starts again in August!
I had started a scrappy trip around the world months ago so I just put it together, appliqued some bears and called it done!

A close friend is having a home built and she wants a set of towels for her kitchen so I am making her a dozen. One for each month.
Since I have been decorating kitchen towels for years now, I went through my stash of towels and re-modified the ones that were not wide enough.

I have the middle border on. I did not like the border that came with the pattern so I designed my own using the GO cutter. These borders literally took me months since I needle turned each one.
Now to part 4.

I have just received the most beautiful quilting book I have ever seen!
Judi from Green Fairy quilts has worked so hard to produce this amazing book on how to quilt wide open spaces.
Everytime I sit down to quilt I ponder on how I will quilt my project. Judi has provided step by step instructions with beautiful motifs showcased and the book even comes with a CD with quilting designs.

I am presently working on a Halloween table topper for my 36 inch coffee table but I finished the thanksgiving one first. I made this one with the 20 inch wedge runner. I had to cut 44 strips so that it lays flat. I embroidered the turkey in the center from the embroideryBetsyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16992246515171206371noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8547365863584922457.post-66872388310678309552013-09-05T01:00:00.000-07:002013-09-05T02:42:51.993-07:008th Finish Everything Christmas QuiltFinally, after working on this quilt throughout the year, I can call it done. It is ready to hang in our living room during Christmas time.It still needs to be pressed. I figured why iron it now when it will be in storage for 3 months so please excuse the wrinkles.

I went back to work Monday and during the evening I wanted to catch up on this BOM so I can start row 4.
The kids come back Monday and I want to have row 4 done because I am usually quite exhausted the first couple of weeks of school and basically just work on hand projects.
My BOM is different in that I mostly machine embroidered my blocks. (yesBetsyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16992246515171206371noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8547365863584922457.post-91699547490191666342013-08-10T01:00:00.000-07:002013-08-10T01:00:06.909-07:00What was I thinking?I wanted to make a floral runner so I went ahead, got out the GO cutter and literally cut 100's of flowers. I do not use fusible too much because it makes the project hard to quilt since it is stiff so I just lightly glued these flowers down.
Started this in December and as I look at it to finish it, there is absolutely no way I am going to applique all these flowers.
What to do my dear friends?
