Got home early just so I could applique my 1st block since I am 2 blocks behind.
I started backwards so my first block is joyful.
Just need to add the eyes.
Thank you Cindy for your encouragement in starting this project and showing me how to use dark thread on the applique.
I have never appliqued like this and I like it.

ReplyDeletegreat block. I often use black and also different colours, especially in flowers ie pink flower red stitching. It all adds dimension.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get started on mine...whohooooo I do have some of the applique already on steam a seam...I had partial patterns, had done all the blocks wrong because I didn't have it all and just assumed...but now, I will have the right patterns soon....can't wait.
