Scrap quilt/ Acolchón de trapos

I used Bonnie's method of enders and leaders to make this scrap quilt. A friend had gifted me this fabric from the 80's and I truly had no idea what to do until I started reading Bonnie's blog in Quiltville.
I set out to make this ugly quilt without having to measure or cut any strips of fabric. Though it is not my taste it did come out quit nice and has a homey feel to it.
I purchased the border and binding at a quilt shop that sells a paper bag size scrap bag for $3.00, so I got a great deal.
The quilt is already tagged for a friend who has a house with this type of fabric/style going on. It is a Christmas gift and I wanted to get a head start.
The only part of this process that I did not enjoy was putting the strips by size. I cannot complain though since there was absolutely no cutting involved.

You are so good to use those scraps. I tend to toss them out - I feel so obligated to the scraps that I can't cut into new fabric. Thanks for visiting my blog.
