I already have some crochet hot pads that I made several decades ago but I wanted to make something more modern so I designed this cathedral windows hot pad. Inside I added the insulite batting that is used with potholders so that it is flame retardant. I am in the process of making 2 more. I want to design some Thanksgiving ones.
Does anyone still use hot pads or am I just an old fashioned gal?

If you're old-fashioned, I'm old-fashioned! I use hot pads, and really like them. The cathedral windows idea is very clever!
