Bag Swap

Christmas 2006 I made tons of bags as gifts for family and friends. Literally, I came home at night and whipped up a bag.
Well, I actually forgot how to make them. I had one cut out for my mom that just sat in my sewing room because I basically forgot how to put it together especially the finishing touches.
The one for the swap started out well. I began at 9 am and all was well until the final portions like the ends being cut so it could stand. I literally forgot how to do it. It was already 2:30 and I was still working on it. Finally, I pulled one out from the closet and just about took it apart so I could see how to finish it!
Finally I did and I am pleased with the results. I hope my swapper likes it too.
After ready her blog from start to finish , I feel it suits her. But that is my opinion.
Now I have several bags sitting by my sewing machine , ready to be constructed so that I do not forget!

What a cute bag! Did you make the little coin bag next to it?

Cute bag -- how very thoughtful to read her whole blog to make one that suits her!

Why don't you take a photo at each step when you make your bag, and you won't have to worry about forgetting how.
