Binding

When I was learning to quilt, I remember my teacher telling me to save the leftover binding for later use.
Well, I could not imagine what I would attach a small piece of binding too.
So I kind of laid them aside because in my head I knew I would never use such a small piece until I saw the Fons and Porter show. They said to connect leftover binding and you have scrappy binding for later use. Well, that makes so much sense. I do try to connect them by themes so Christmas prints with Christmas prints, reproduction with repo, etc...

I love that idea! I certainly intend to try that idea, I do not enjoy putting the binding on so maybe a scrappy binding will make it fun.

I don't remember being told or reading anywhere that I should save my binding scraps, but I have, it just seemed like a good idea!

Yours is very bright.

I made my summer bedspread with green scrappy binding and I totally fell in love with it. I will definately be doing lots more of it.
