Halloween Costume

I have not sewn for my kids since they were about 5 and 6.
My 17 year old needed a poodle skirt for a Halloween party and we could not find one anywhere.
So I resorted to making one. Because I do not enjoy making clothes I actually procrastinated on this one in hopes that maybe we would be able to find one.
So Monday, she gently reminded me that she needed it for Saturday.
I sent her to purchase the fabric and unfortunately it was not enough. Off she went again to purchase more. She came back with another treat too! Some tulle.
She kindly asked if I could add that to the skirt. Well, I hate tulle because it sticks to my pierced quilter fingers and that bothers me. But being the dear patient mother that I am not, I worked with it so now it hangs from under the skirt.
So finally, yesterday morning I finished it . It really was not that bad to make. Just alot of fabric . 5 yards actually.

What a great job you did, it turned out great. 5 yards oh my. My mom made one for me years ago as well (royal blue) and we've all passed it around as we needed it, I think all of my sisters and my mom have worn it. That's surely a thing of "wish that fit!"
