Pat Sloan's favorite techniques book

I have been searching for this book ever since I knew it was published.
My daughters friend wants me to make her the cover quilt as a graduation gift. I did not want to pay full price so I had to wait until Joann's finally started stocking it.
Last Sunday was my lucky day. The owl quilt pictured uses a new technique of applique I am not familiar with so I will have to practice. Other than that this quilt looks simple but it is quite small and I will need to make at least 3 extra rows.
Also included in this book is a wonderful pomegranate quilt I hope to make.
So as usual many plans for future items.

That looks like a great book. I understand why the cover-quilt has already been requested :-) That is sooo cute!! Love those owls! Please share the new technique when you get started...and/or what you think of it...

Cute owls. What colors will you use?

I am interested in the applique also, but love the owls too. My daughter loves owls, so I may have to invest in this book.

I love being able to get quilting books at Joann's half price. I just started adding a book here and there. Happy Quilting.
