Christmas Gifts- Tree

Again using Pat Sloan's "I Believe" Christmas pattern, I made 3 more towels for gifting. This time I made one for myself.. Instead of just using fabric circles like the pattern called for, I added small yo-yo's. I was going to put a button in the center of each yo-yo but my fingers hurt from all the hand stitching I am doing on my hexagon quilt. Also, I like the look of the yo-yo's without the buttons in these towels. They definetly are easier to wash and press without the buttons.
For my next towel ,I want to try to make a patchwork towel like Nanette has on her blog.

Good work. I agree that making it without the buttons is better. This morning we awoke to snow and freezing rain......ah winter!

I am so glad to hear you remembered to make one for yourself this time :)

Such an excellent idea for decorating towels. Wonderful gifts. The applique is so darn cute. I have the I Believe pattern and would like to make a smaller version with my favourite blocks. That would be the candy jar, X-Mas tree, stockings and oh yes! Feed the birds! :)

Such cute trees! I think the yo-yos are a great touch, more fun than circles.
