Hexagon quilt update

I posted about this quilt several times last year.
It is the quilt I started while my daughter was learning to drive so it will be 2 years in the making in March.
It is completely hand pieced and hand quilted.
The borders are machine sewn.
It is a complete hexagon shape.
As you can see from the picture I am quilting the outside border. I decided on this spiral design which is quite difficult because I have to constantly turn the quilt.
For those who do not remember, I am not using a hoop.
I have 4 borders to go.
Hopefully I will get it done this year because there is another one I want to hand quilt.

The quilt will be a treasure since it was hand-pieced and hand quilted. You have a lot more patience than I do, 2 yrs in the making is a long time.

Beautiful job on the hand-quilting. And such patience to keep going on it for two years! It looks wonderful!

I'm dying to know, did your quilt kit package arrive from my giveaway last week? You just never know with the postal service, but I hope you've received it by now. ;o)

Wow! I can't imagine piecing by hand. I look forward to seeing the whole quilt finished.

It looks really lovely Betsy. Was there a reason why you chose not to put it in a frame or use a hoop? I must have missed that part.. probably before I started following your blog. :-)
