I miss my flowers!

I love this flower. Well, I actually love all flowers but the unique ones in my flower beds intrigue me.
As you can see from the leaf spots it does not like a lot of rain, but once the sun is out , it creates this beautiful bloom.
This plant is part of the Brumegasia family ( I probably spelled this wrong) and I have the peach ones too but they are not doubles.
About 2 years ago a friend of mine gave me some seeds and I just kind of threw them around.
I have about 3 of these growing but now that everything in my garden is dormant I am not able to enjoy these beauties. I just hope that the frost did not kill them.

It will be months before we see flowers here.
This one is very pretty.. When do you expect them to maybe bloom again?

Very pretty...I hope the frost didn't kill any of them off and they'll be back big and beautiful before you know it.

These are beautiful flowers. Do you know if you can actually buy these seeds or do you have to get them from someone with a plant? Since we aren't getting any rain in Texas they would be very happy here.

I think what you have is Datura or Brugmansia. Here is a link to a group of growers who work with this flower.

My grandmother lived at the beach and she had a beautiful white Datura that grew year round and was as tall as her house. I have one here in Northern California/Zone 8. Mine blooms a beautiful buttery yellow, and although it freezes back each winter, the plant returns from the roots in the Spring. I've never seen the trumpets with double petals or in such a beautiful color of blue.

Also, take care and inform visitors that that all parts of the Datura plant are poisonious.
