Leaders and Enders 1

I guess the reason it takes me so long to finish a project is that I only go in my sewing room about twice a week because of my schedule. So when I go in there I try to make the best of my time. Bonnie from Quiltville has this cool system called leaders and enders where you start sewing with pieces of scrap and somewhere along the line you will have a new quilt.
This is my first leaders and ender project.
I am loving this!

What an interesting name. Looks like it is going to produce a very nice quilt.

Hmmm....is there a link to a specific post on Bonnie's blog that describes this? (Or can you explain it further?) It seems to be a good idea, but I can't quite figure how to do it. I use a tiny scrap when I start and end quite often, but I then cut them off and they are then still just scraps but with a line of stitching on them....not sure how you get them to be part of a quilt top.

I've started trying this out....I tend to forget to put them in though! And I have a bowl with 2 1/2" squares next to my machine! DOH!

I love how yours is turning out! Looks like fun!

You are going to have to tell more about the meaning of your leaders and enders projects. It sounds very interesting.

Interesting. What will it be when it grows up?

Next month our quilt group will have a memeber give a demonstration and presentation on leaders and enders. I can't wait. Yours is darling.
