Material Obsession

When Kathy Doughty and Sarah Fielke from www.materialobsession.com came out with their first book I was in agony because I could not buy it. It was in Australia and just not affordable to me.
I read their blog daily and it was because of them that I started working on my bold colored grandma's flower garden.
Every day for the past year I would search eBay, amazon, book stores, yard sales, etc... for the book at a better price.
I finally got lucky and found it on eBay for a very affordable price.
To me it is completely worth it.
The pictures are fabulous and I am thoroughly enjoying it.
All the quilts are quilts that they have made throughout the years, not the ones their customers make on their blog.
I love how almost all of them are hand quilted and many are quilted with pearl cotton which to me is like quilting with a nail but it works for them.
The drawings they have included are darling and the pictures are vibrant.

I'm happy that you got something you have been wanting for so long! That's a good feeling to know your search paid off, isn't it?

Thanks for turning me onto that blog. I will check it out.

Don't you just hate how expensive all the Australian patterns/books cost. I finally sucked it up and bought a pattern from there but there are like 5 more I want but they are each $100 or more. I just don't get it.
