The marking is done

Weeks later and many backaches, this quilt top is finally marked and ready for the quilting.
I really should have just decided on a meandering stitch since it is a college quilt and huge, (queen size for me is huge)but I do not know what got into me.
we'll see in a few weeks I guess.

Do you have a long-arm or will you be quilting this on a regular machine? I can't do very well with quilting things by myself as I don't get to practice enough, I suspect. I'm sure you will do a fine job with this.....but I'm equally sure you will be very happy when it'd DONE. LOL

I can't wait to see this.

Hope that isn't disappearing ink...lol Looks like quite a job, but you will have it done in no time. Queen is big, especially if you are quilting on a home machine.

I am interested to see you do this. I have always wanted to mark a quilt like this to see how it works.

I like the scollops....it will look awesome when completed. What gets into most of us? We can do alot of things the easy way but for some reason, some force greater than our own takes over and we go the other directions, hard or not.

Although I don't mark my quilts ahead of time, I have recently been doing more custom work and I will tell you that I am really looking forward to a simple meander and/or edge to edge freehand for the next 1 - 3 quilts I do. LOL

Now that will keep you busy. Are you doing it by hand or machine?
