Bird of Paradise

Julie sent me this lovely paper piece pattern since I have this flower in my garden.
I am looking forward to making this in the winter when I will miss seeing this plant.
Thank you Julie.

What a nice thing for Julie to send you. Eileen Bahring Sullivan patterns have been around for awhile and I really do like them. I have made a poinsettia one ( my wedding flowers) and used it for the center of throw quilt that we use at Christmas. THe sew and flip method is lots of fun. She did a number of other designs- daffodils, iris, cactus and I have one that looks like morning glories or similar looking flowers. I had not seen the bird of paradise pattern. If you like paper piecing you will have a great time with it. Enjoy.
Regards,
Anna
