The days of the week

During the summer there was red work everywhere in blog land.
I just love the vintage red work but my stitchery skill , well is not good.
So I found these embroideries at the embroidery library and I made them on my embroidery machine.
Since I already have tons of kitchen towels , I did not want the expense of buying some to embroider these on, so because they are only for display, I made the towel myself using Kona cotton.
Once I made them , I had absolutely no where to display these in my kitchen because I have no wall space and I was not about to switch towels every day.
So, I cut the blocks and I am going to make them into a small wall hanging that fits perfectly by a wall closest to the kitchen.
Details to come later. I have yet to decide if I want to use vintage type fabrics for the sashing or give it a modern twist with modern fabrics?

Very cute. I too love redwork and find machine embroidery is the only way for me to do it.

Don't you just love Emblibrary they have the best designs. I have been one of their customers for 10 years. You did a great job on these. Love them.

Those are cute and look very vintage, so I would go with a vintage look fabric.
