I'm charmed
Either I am charmed by this quilt or completely insane.
Finally a quilt I want to make from a magazine issue.
Lately, I have been throwing the magazines to the side because they have nothing that interests me until I received my copy of American Patchwork and Quilting -10/09 edition.
The quilt is a reproduction . It has 1024 different triangles.
I am going for it.
First I will empty my scrap bin and search for fabrics, then hit my stash , and at last resort my blog friends if I do not hit the 1024 mark.
Anybody else care to join me so I am not all alone?

Oh, no...not ME...too big a project for me at this time, BUT...if you want to tell us what kinds of fabrics you will be looking for, I'll be happy to see if I have anything to give you.
Good luck Betys! Let me know if you need fabric........Dianne
I'll start digging through my scraps...I know I have many that will work for this! You love challenges, don't you? :)
What a great quilt. I loved it when I saw it but I'm afraid it's too much for me to start it right now with school starting in a couple weeks
Are you insane?!!
Ok...just kidding. It is wonderful and I spotted it too when my issue arrived. But then sat and realistically with all else...putting it on the back burner. Holler if you need a few scraps...I just might have a few laying around here somewhere! LOL
Is it rotary cut or painfully cutting out each piece? I don't have the magazine. LOL.
I may be up for the challenge. It's just getting the magazine.
Wow! I would join in - but this one scares me.
I like that one..but I have to many others going on right now...I will help you with any scraps I have...just let me know.
I have the issue but I am going to leave this quilt to you! LOL!
Are you doing it in reproductions?
Holy Moley! That looks a little too complicated for me, but I've got scraps that I can send if you need them. I know what you mean about rarely finding quilts that you want to make out of the magazines. I've been letting my subscriptions expire. I go to the bookstore and have a cup of tea and read theirs. Then if I find something I really like, I'll buy it.
I saw that quilt in my magazine last night and I'm really, really tempted! What color are you using for your background?
Thanks for commenting on my blog giveaway...love your blog! :)
Think I will just enjoy watching you, but when you decide on colors let me know and i will send you some pieces.
Oh my goodness - what a beauty. I wish I could... but I don't have the time.
The reason I use the silk batt is because I have heard that it is even better than wool. Up till I tried the silk, my favorite was the wool. But now that I have "tasted" the silk, I am sold. I love how the wool/silk batt make my freehand feather quilting pop - giving it a slight trapunto look without the extra work.
Hello Fiesta, thank you for your lovely comments to me....I would love to go through my Dear Jane Repro fabrics and send some to you...Warm Regards Lyn
That is a beauty of a quilt! hmmm... not sure I have it in me... Piecing all that might kill me....
gonna grab that mag though and check it out... then ponder.
Good for you for taking up the challenge, too! You'll have to post updates as you progress.
I saw the same quilt in the same magazine and thought the same thing! In fact, my lovely son (terrible two's) threw it into the toilet and I bought another copy of the magazine because of this quilt!
Oh my gosh that is amazing. I love it. Please make it! I would be glad to send you a bag of scraps.
oh I would love to send you some scraps
Oooh, I would LOVE to make that quilt with you, for sure ! (I'm crazy about scrappy quilts, and never made one with triangles...yet ;>)
Unfortunately, we don't get that magazine in my little corner of the world.
Smiles! Enjoy your sewing, dear !
XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Will you be machine piecing or hand piecing?
Oh I totally agree with you. This has been the best issue of American Patchwork and Quilting in a LONG time. I could not stop looking at this article. But I have to say I don't think I'll be joining you in making it soon.. too many irons in fire right now. But i can't wait to watch how you are doing. :-D
