New guest room

My friend Cindy had suggested that I pick a theme for my new guest room which used to be my daughters room.
I decided to make it my quilt display room with a vintage feel to it.
It feels bright and vintage to me, what do my blog friends think?

Very nice, especially the bed quilt. What is the pattern?

This quilting friend loves it. I especially love how you have that one quilt hanging....how did you do that?

WOW, I am constantly amazed at all the wonderful work found in bogland, and another stunning example, well done Betsy, you have good reason to be proud of this. I love the look!

I love it...will be cozy for your next visitor. Did you finish the little hexies, or is that a different hexagon quilt in the first pic?

I agree with ranette......looks great and I want to stay there sometime soon. LOL

All my chicks have left the nest...and I have yet to decorate any of the rooms with quilts. Why? Because I don't have any to decorate! I give everything away! I really need to add personalized touches to this house and make it mine...after 30 years...pathetic. You room has inspired me!

Just what I would have done, if I had a guest room. I would like a room to rotate quilts for show, matching the seasons and/or my mood. I make a lot of quilts that don't go with my decor but that I love. I bring them out but they clash with everything else. I guess I just need a "bland" room for showing quilts. LOL

I like it. Especially like the table topper on the night stand - very sweet. It's nice to have our creations out where we can enjoy them!

What a great room!

A comfy place for guests (although they won't get any sleep for wanting to look at all the yummy quilted pieces!), a place to display your creations and an incentive to make more projects (to change out the display from time to time). It's a three-fer treat!!!

However, a sign should be posted that all bags will checked upon leaving to make sure that no one tries to sneak any of the goodies home with them! (LOL)
