Giving Thanks
My daughter and I needed a Thanksgiving wall hanging.
I found this pattern in the "Heart to Art book called Acorn Hollow".
It was just a small mat size so I took it to school and enlarged it God Knows how big on my overhead projector. So it measures about 42x42.
You cannot see the stitchery in the center because of the bright light but it reads "Give Thanks".

Hi Betsy,
that is just so gorgeous! You truly do some rather amazing work, we do not celebrate Thanksgiving here in NZ, but it is becoming more popular with many Americans that live here, a bit like Halloween which is also increasing in popularity. I hope you have a wonderful family time!
Beautiful! When you click on the photo it enlarges and you can read the give thanks. With a couple of changes you could probably make a Christmas wreath wall hanging.
It's lovely Betsy.. we don't do Thanksgiving here in Australia either...have a lovely time with family..
I must say your little grand daughter is the cutest...what a lovely smile she has!

Absolutely gorgeous! And it sounds like the size you enlarged it to makes it just perfect. You can always go back and do some smaller ones for matching placemats, right? That would make such a stunning set! Although it is so beautiful now, placemats are merely an after thought.
That is VERY pretty! It will be a lovely decoration to a nice Thanksgiving day dinner!
Wow, you really have been working hard to get those done in time for Thanksgiving. Beautiful job!
Oh, that is so pretty - good job :o)

What a beautiful little Thanksgiving quilt. I wish there was still time to make one in time for the holiday.
I know exactly what book and pattern your talking here...my friend made me one when the book first came out. I'll have to post it! Thanks for reminding me..yours looks wonderful and I love that you enlarged it!
Very pretty, Betsy. I wish I could see your home dressed up for Thanksgiving.
