Some handquilting going on

Now that I am back into the grove of things with my school schedule and routine, I am back to quilting in the wee hours of the morning. It brings me so much pleasure just to relax before heading off to work.

Terrific quilt, and what a nice way to start the day off. I can't do that, my eyes wake up later than I do.

I like that quilt. I, too, enjoy hand-quilting......calms me down, it seems.

I really like this top. Did you machine piece it or quilting the fabric pieces on it as you go?

Nice quilt! Love the border. I wish I enjoyed handquilting, I think it is just too slow going for me. A little sewing just makes the day go better.

My mother was also always up early enough to get a lot done before she left for work. It always amazed me how much she could get done without waking up the household.

What cute little cubes of fabric and braided border Betsy! Yes, hand quilting is so relaxing, isn't it?

I am not a morning person, it would have to be in the wee hours of the night for me. I love that braid around the outside of your quilt.

I do the same thing. Most week day mornings, you will find me at the sewing from 6:15 am. to 6:45 a.m. when I have to leave to get to work on time.

It's amazing how much can get accomplished in that time.

Love the border on that quilt.
