My first finish

Two years ago I made several quilt tops during the summer as graduation quilts for my daughters friends. Well I made too many and I had some tops left unquilted.

I started quilting this one for a family friend who just turned 17 and I barely finished in time. I started quilting it during Christmas Break. I would have been done earlier but I decided to heavily quilt the border and that took an eternity.
But I can put it in as a finished project and it is ready for the birthday girl.
Free pattern can be found here http://www.quiltville.com/scrapbargello.shtml

Fabulous first finish! I love that pattern, I'd happily make it again.
With your hexy quilt, are you doing it as a charm? It's amazing.

I love the quilt! I zoomed in to get a better look, but could only catch a glimmer of of what I can tell are wonderful quilting stitches in the border. Can you post a close up pic for us????

VERY nice....did you hand-quilt or machine-quilt this? I can't tell even my enlarging the photo. It looks very nice, though.

Hi, just found your blog by accident.. you dont know me.. but I wanted to comment that your quilt is gorgeous! I made my first quilt at 9 with my grandmother. I used to quilt all the time.. prob made about 15-20 quilts but stopped when I got into the internet/blogging etc..a few years ago. Keep up the great work!
