My Primitive Quilt Start

Of course, I can't just sit and quilt.
I get distracted and I have to start new things.
I am sure that I am not alone.
I have been reading blogs with primitive type quilts and I am liking them so I ordered this book, Garden Quilts by Mary Tendall Etherington (Author), Connie Tesene (Author) so I could make the cover quilt.
It is adorable.
It have been a challenge for me since I do not own alot of primitive prints but so far this is what I have done.
I am using the reverse applique method I learned here..

I like primitive style quilts as well, but don't they don't fit into my decor. I do enjoy Pat Sloan's because of the bright colors she used.

Looks like you are on your way to doing something beautiful!

Very pretty. You accomplish a lot of quilting for someone who works. Good for you.

It is funny you posted this. I was just looking through one of my primitive books thinking "someday I'll make this". And someday I will, just not right now. So it is great to see you doing it. I can live through your projects.

I have made and taught classes with this quilt. It has been around with Connie and Mary for along time and was out of print. I guess it has been re released.

Good luck (we converted the stars to paper pieced and they were soo much easier)

I'm not a big primitive fan but I do love the cover quilt. Yours will be just as gorgeous.

I have this quilt started also. My guild did it as a BOM a few years ago. I am using brights instead of typical primitive colors.
