BOM here2ND block completed but as I look at it I notice that my pumpkin is not perfectly round. Now as many pumpkins as I have made this year, how could I have done this? It is fused so any ideas as to what I can add to this block to hide the unroundness will be appreciated.
Maybe a small pumpkin next to it or a pumpkin leaf???

Pumpkins tend to be lumpy: they don't usually look nearly as nice as yours do! But a leaf, or even a bit of coily vine if you're feeling ambitious, would look terrific and help make the block your own. Maybe you have something in your crazy-quilting bits and bobs that would suit?
How about tendrils? That way it would cover, kind of, but the flat side wouldn't be noticeable.
What about a star hanging down over the flat spot? I think it looks nice. Henrietta is a busy squirrel.
Not all pumpkins are round....
maybe you can add a vine from the stem to the bottom? Still looks good.
How about a star or 2 hanging down to obscure the straight part?
I like the idea of a leaf or vine to hide it.
I agree some tendrils and perhaps a leaf or even two close together would work well and actually add more interest and no pumpkin is perfect in real life ;-) I have still to start mine .
I agree, a couple of leaves & some vines swirling around. I like the block. Looking good!!!. Good luck. Dianne
I have never seen a real round pumpkin ever. If it does bother you can you add a fallen star or maybe a few leafs. I know you will find a way to be happy LOL But it looks great good job
Like Barb said, not all Pumkins are round. I saw a leaf and tendrils.
It looks great!~ just like a real pumpkin! I would let it be, but if it really bothers you, add a vine or leaf. Have a happy day!
I think it is perfect, perfectly natural!
