2000 charms

Deanna did a wonderful tutorial on a unique charm quilt.
Each square measures 2 inches and there are 2000 in the quilt she made.
I decided to make one too and decided that I wanted it to be a charm quilt.
I did not know that Deanna's was also a charm quilt until I read the directions again earlier today.
So, for the past 2 days , I have dropped all my other projects and stayed up until 1 a.m gathering scraps to make 2x2 inch squares.
I had to actually use my moda 2.5 inch charms but that is OK because now I have a well rounded selection.
I am ready to sew but I have to admit that I am a bit tired.

Wow, that's lots of cutting but a fabulous variety of charms. I LOVE Deanna's quilt and hope to do the same. :-)

Oh, I can't wait to see your version! You only actually needed 1,824 squares, so you will have enough left for a pillow or something (or the next 2-inch square project I have coming up) *mischievious grin*

Thanks for sharing with your readers.

I am collecting 1.5 inch squares to make a quilt out of. I guess once they get that little it is then called a postage stamp quilt. I work at the post office, so it is appropriate for me.

How fun! I look forward to seeing this come to life. It reminds me of my Leader and Ender quilt.
