Scrap Challenge

I am proud to say that in January I did not spend a dime on quilting supplies.
I even went to a quilt shop and came out empty handed !
Hubby just about fell to the ground.
I am trying to use what I have on hand.
I have a new sewing room with a bigger closet so I was able to empty my scrap bin to better access what I have.
I have challenged myself to use as much scraps as I can.

Coming out of a quilt shop empty handed is impressive. Good for you using up all your scraps.

whCongratulations on not spending any money on fabrics , I have made that commitment as well and made it through January and so far through Feb ,I am trying really hard to use up .What are your plans for your scraps , looks like you have as many as I do ;-)

Ooooo...scraps. They give me itchy fingers. You are sure to come up with something wonderful. Maybe even several somethings wonderful.

Good for you. I went to the quilt shop today with my sister in law, and thought I was going to make it out w/o any purchase. But we were caught up with a pattern, and we both ended up buying the pattern and a little bit of fabric. But I plan to use stash for most of the quilt.

Oh me too!! Looking at your scrap photo there for a minute I thought I was looking at my cutting table. I have "making fabric" again. I've decided what I'm working with is more like 'confetti' pieces rather than scraps!!

Believe it or not Feb. 4 marked me down for 13 whole months without buying not one thread of fabric!!! But you know what, my stash doesn't seem to look any different, I still have more than I can probable ever get sewn up!!

Congrats on your 'resisting'....just say NO! HA!

I think a lot of us are using what we have with the price of cotton so high. Lots of scraps. Love the runner you made with them.
Came by to see what you have been up to. It has been a while since I came by.
Your wall of mini quilts is great.
Love your dresden block. they are fun to make.

You are the only person I have seen who saves tiny little scraps like I do. LOL.

I started the year trying to use up mine, too. Then I became frustrated with the gazillions of tiny pieces I had and threw two bags full in the garbage. I must say, it felt good to be rid of them.

I still have plenty and hope to get back to some more projects soon.
