Trip around the world mini

I have been wanting to make a trip around the world mini quilt for the longest time now. I could not find a pattern anywhere so I used one of Quiltville's free patterns and reduced the blocks to 1.5 inches. Somewhere I messed up because my center looks like I made the same row twice but I am not sure. Anyway, I am enjoying the mini process.
I am pleased to have a finish on my big 50 today. Classes were canceled today because of tropical storm Isaih so I hope to get some things at least cut out.

Happy Birthday! I think 50 is a special one; in my mind it gives permission to drop girlshoes and other yukky (and sometimes painful) anchors I associate with the extremes of youth.
