Several years ago I started this mini hexagon quilt and I am still at it. Usually I only work on it when hubby drives or we go on road trips. It is a charm quilt and so far it measures 31x38. Many blog friends still continue to gift me pieces of scraps for this quilt and they have loveingly been put to use.
ps,hubby estimated completion time-age 82.
what about you dear reader, what long term projects have you been working on?

OMG, what a beautiful and tiny project. Reminds me of a quilt my great aunt had long years ago. Two thumbs from me to you!!
I can't believe how big that is getting!
How many long term projects do I have? LOL!! I can't even begin to write them down. I am great at starting them and not so great at finishing.
Well....even at 82 it is still going to be a stunning piece. It is gorgeous.
I have a hexie project that has to be at least 20 years old. It was started for a king size bed. Got divorced and have smaller bed! Still not done.
I spent 2 years working on a 25 block applique. I got it finished and basted end of 2012 and have now started the hand quilting. I'm set July 2014 as a goal, but that's not set in stone. I plugged along on a hexi piece for years, finally called it a table cloth!!
98Wow those are sure tiny pieces , your hubby could be right ;-) Great work and well worth your efforts!
You are coming right along...I remember when you started it....
i remember sending you some fabric one year. that sure is a lot of little hexies.
What an incredible quilt!
LOL You two better take more road trips. It is lovely.
Impressive. Personally, I don't think I have the staying power!
Wow, those are some tiny hexies! Beautiful quilt. I have been sewing hexies for a year, but not many are together. They keep ending up as my tags for quilts.
All I can say is "WOW"! It is beautiful!
That makes my long term projects look like nothing -- I am seriously amazed!
This is gorgeous! I love it!
I am hand quilting my Journey of a Quilter that has been ongoing for 5 years...but maybe this year I will finish it?!?
I don't know how you have the patience to keep going on this one Betsy. I have Joseph's Coat that is sitting unfinished. I want to make it into something this year.
I love piecing these small hexi's too. I should start a mini like this. Great idea and project!
Wow, it is so beautiful. I love hexagons so much.
Greetings from germany,
