New Years Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed. Thank you to everyone that participated. i will have another one soon. The winner is Sheila and I picked a surprise winner which is Cindy.

Let's start the year off with a giveaway from my blog sponsor Aurifil threads.

I made this scrap vomit quilt from a tutorial by Katy .

I started with a pile of scraps and in 2 days I made a 70x70 inch top. Her instructions were right on the nose and I truly enjoyed the process and I used every Christmas scrap I had on hand.

I pieced it with Auriful thread which I am also going to use in the quilting process.
Aurifil was generous enough to send me this pack of threads to give away. In the pack there is a wool one too!!! You will receive 4 small spools of 220 yards of thread each and a small lilac wool one.

To win this loveley pack of thread :
1.I would love for you to follow my blog on blogger and tell me you did so for one entry.
2. For a second entry Like Aurifil at and tell me you did so.
3. and for an extra entry blog about the giveaway. That is it!!!

I love your scrap throw-up quilt! Who knew random scrappiness could be so pretty! HA I'm gonna go 'like' Aurifil right now (but I could really 'LOVE' it since I do and pretty much use it and it alone (even on my donation quilts!). Thanks for the New Year's giveaway!!

I am a long-time follower. Your scrap quilt is so fun--coordinating the colors really makes a difference in the outcome. My goal for the year is...surprise...more scrappy quilts! Having a nice thread pack would be good, too.

My scrap quilts never look that pretty. Nice job. I am a follower by e-mail.

I like Aurifil Threads on Facebook. I really want to try some but it is not available locally and I don't want to order on line right now. I really prefer to buy local whenever possible so I will wait a little longer and see if my local shop decides to carry it or I could be the lucky winner and get it now. That would be an awesome start to my new year.

I follow you by email. I would never have thought to call a quilt "vomit" - although some I have made would qualify I think :)
