I blogged about a birthday quilt I was making for my niece on March 10th.
Well this quilt is a yuck yuck!
I did not paper piece it enough on the seam line and many of the stitches came out as I was quilting it. It is not suitable for a child so I am just going to finish it up as an exercise mat for those days when I do exercise. LOL
Lesson learned: Use more fabric at the seams when paper piecing.
Anyone else make boo boos out there?

It looks so pretty though. We all make boo boos. It's great to be in good company.
We have all made mistakes! At least you have a beautiful exercise mat. LOL
I think it is beautiful also. I'm sorry it didn't turn out.
Yep! I've done a bit of unpicking and re-sewing in my time and I'm sure I've wasted a lot of fabric, lol!

Are you kidding me, I make mistakes, booboos or whatever you want to call them...all the time. As you said, lesson learned.
Take care my friend!!
Absolutely, I have unpicked all sorts of seams on the centennial quilt, so take heart, I learned this lesson too on pping! Its great anyway!
Sorry to hear that, all that work. It certainly looks fabulous to me.
Sorry to hear it. It is still pretty and will be nice to use occasionally then it won't need washing as much. Yea I make booboos all the time. Hate it though!
It looks so pretty , too bad about the stitches . That is one reason I don't care for PP , it is easy to not allow enough fabric , maybe if you had used a foundation fabric it might have been stronger ?
Oh...that is too bad....this is a terrific looking quilt.....you are not really planning to sweat on it are you. Lol
