Cathedral windows wall hanging Charm / Stash challenge
On 6/23 I posted a project bag with the pieces of my cathedral windows wall hanging. Here it is put together and ready for the windows. I am using my collection of Westminster fabrics for the windows. It is a charm cathedral window since no 2 fabrics are alike.
This is basically a watch t.v. project or a road trip project.
My friend from Fort Lauderdale came to visit over the weekend and she fell in love with quilting. I actually taught her how to make cathedral windows and hexagons. Luckily, JoAnn's fabrics was having a 50% off sale and she was able to get most of the basic quilting supplies plus some beginner books for a great price.
Will keep you guys posted if she keeps it up.

This is going to be so much fun to watch!
This will be super to watch! Now I want to start one.
I've never made a cathedral windows. They are beautiful. If you look at Eileen's post to you you can see her quilt - much like my Parcheesi quilt as the graphic next to her name.
It's wonderful to pass on our love of quilting to another friend. I LOVE cathedral windows. I made ONE block once, and dreamed of making an entire quilt someday. Your quilt is going to be so nice....maybe I could make a wallhanging too. That's almost do-able!
Wow...wow...this will be amazing...
Do you have a formula for the size to cut the backing? I was given some 4" squares plus a partially started cathedral windows. I don't know how to figure out how big of a white backing block to cut out. Could you help me, please?
