Something blooms at 4 o'clock

Late in the afternoon this lovely plant blooms.
I actually have tons of them because they self seed.
When it rains they get super size so I had to cut them down a lot this year because of all the rain we got hammered with in the summer.
I have a variegated one in fuschia and yellow but it barely makes any seed. It is the most beautiful and unique one.

I love 4 o'clock flowers. It has been years since I have grown any. They grow as an annual here and reach about 36 inches tall. I always planted the mixed seeds for lots of colour. Collecting the big, round, shiny black seeds was lots of fun.
