Another completed Christmas gift

I finally went in the sewing room and did not come out until I was done with the second part of my daughters Christmas present. This bag reads "Picnic Bag" in appliqued letters and holds the quilt I made her for picnics.
I still want to try to get a pillow in there some how to complete this gift.
I am not crazy about the handles but this was the sturdiest fabric I had. If she minds I guess I will have to figure out how to change them out.
I made this bag from a leftover postage stamp wall hanging I had made.

To make any fabric sturdy enough for a bag, cut your handle fabric 4 inch wide, fold in half wrong sides together, open up and fold the raw edges into the middle wrong sides together. Now tuck a piece of 1 inch nylon webbing into the fabric, fold up and stitch on each side.

That's quite pretty, the colors in the bag are quite reflective of the quilt itself, I just love that.
