I designed this wall hanging for my back door entrance for the holidays.
I made 3 of the cottages and Eileen and I exchanged one.
It is ready for quilting but I actually have no clue how to quilt it.
Ideas please my blog friends.
I purchased some gold fabric bows and I will include those later after the quilting is done.

Sorry, quilting is really not my field. But the cottages look fabulous!
Am blog-hopping my way through Chookyblue's SSCS list to see who else is playing along.
It will be gorgeous! See you are doing it again! Amazing me with all your holiday sewing :-)
Totally adorable! I'm not much of a quilter, but if you want to try some fancy stuff, I see stars or Xmas trees in the green border, and shingles on the roofs, stuff like that. But there's a lot going on with the houses, so maybe just anchoring them in the ditch and putting in a detail or two.
I love it! You could go several different ways with the quilting.
1. Stiple
2. Bows
3. Houses
I can't wait to hear what you decide.
I'm thinking you could stitch in the ditch in and around the cottages, and if you wanted it a bit more filled in, maybe hearts on a vine in your borders. :)
Great idea, for the door.
How cute!! I love the scappy houses!!!
This is cute. Lots of good ideas for quilting. Can't wait to see what you do.
Oh this is going to be adorable! Great idea for a door hanging! You got some good suggestions on quilting already.. I don't have any beter ideas. I'm going to be stuck on mine too!
Your houses are great - little snowflakes would look good in the borders - and/or stipple/SID in the blocks.....
What a great way to set them. I love the idea. I'm not sure how to tell you. I quilted my fall cottages by quilting them each individually like they were a real house with lines and squares and then stippled all around them.
