Usually when I make coasters I use the criss cross pattern from Allsorts blog. These are very nice and easy to make.
I wanted to make something different so I actually quilted these coasters and used binding.
They were not hard but very time consuming.
My daughter likes them so that is what matters.
The list is getting shorter and shorter for the college stuff except I have not quilted the quilt yet.
We all know I procrastinate on that!

I love the criss cross coasters! I'm so glad you posted the link for the pattern. Your coaster reflect all the work you put into them. Your daughter's place is going to be very snazzy.

Love those fabrics in the coaster. Very tropical. She can look at those imagine she is somewhere else besides college when she is stressed.
You are such a wonderful mom to do all this for your daughter and she is letting you....my sons would just say keep out.... I guess they don't like my girly stuff...ha!!
