Halloween Block Swap

My daughter wanted some Halloween placemats.
I remembered that I had these blocks from Jane's Halloween block swap so she picked a few and I made her some reversible mats.
They are all quilted but I did not really know how to quilt the Frankenstein center.
I just need to tack him down somehow. I also made her a center mat with prairie points.
I am glad I remembered that I had these. I was ready to cut into some fabric. I have a few blocks left over and I am thinking a table runner for when she has her own home and maybe a small wall hanging. I have put some projects aside to complete these. It seems I am running on overload. The holidays are approaching so fast.

How cute are those! Give Frankenstein a nose and he will be held in place. Yes, the holidays are fast approaching, I've started on a few little things but I'm still making my list.

That's so clever using "pre-owned" blocks on each side! Although we don't celebrate Halloween, I really do love the colours.

Those make really cute placemats and should be easy to work up. I may try to make some.

Very cute placemats. It is nice when you have something you can just get out and whip together.

I bet the placemats are cute!! I see my Candy Corn block and my skeleton nine patch in the lot -- nifty to see what you are doing with them! :)

PS My blocks are going to be made into a lap quilt for my daughter and son in law's new house. :)
