I started hand quilting it because it is my preferred method but there it sat for years.
So I finished quilting it on the machine and off it goes to my daughters guest room so when I visit I can use my own quilt. LOL
anyone else, have year long projects laying around?

Unfortunately I have many projects unfinished from years back.
Oh no, of course not, Betsy. I always finish everything up right away. lololol Great finish, I like that quilt for it's scrappiness and scattered blocks. I remember when you made it.
Lovely quilt and great you will get to sleep under it when you visit your daughter :-) Oh I have plenty of old ufo's lying around :-(
Oh yeah I have tons of things laying around that I need to finish.......someday! It's fun to do something that you don't have to worry about directions and just be creative.
Great finish...and yes, as you know I have several UFOs just waiting to be finished....LOL
Oh my, the quilt is beautiful.
Gosh, I have scads of blocks and lots of tops. Guess I am a piecer, not a finisher.
