A natural finish
I posted about this quilt several weeks ago . It was a leader and enders project but the border became a full time event.
I believe there are no two flowers alike ( at least I know I tried not to repeat).
The border is a braid from Bonnie's web site and though it was fairly easy , it was quite time consuming. It took me more time to make the border than the actual flower area.
This is the 1st quilt I have made by just improvising and I like it.It has a homey comfortable look to it.
I am presently in the process of marking it so I can hand quilt it.
It measures 54x64 so it is just a lap quilt for me.
P.S. by no means is this quilt done! I still have to quilt it.

That border looked real hard, has an amazing result.
I love the improv look for the flowers.. and wow.. that border is amazing! It really adds a whole new dimension to the quilt.
WOW...what a border...and green is MY color. I'm guessing Bonnie has a tutorial on her site for that braided border??? I'll have to look at it soon.
Fantastic quilt! You accomplish so much. Love the border, wish I could see the quilt in person.
It turned out great! I love the braided border, haven't tried that one yet. The flowers are pretty scattered around!
How in the hack did you get that much done? You amaze me!!!!!
Your border is amazing!
Beautiful Quilt! I love the braided border & used it on a recent project too, but in 2 colors so not much of a braid effect.
I love the effect of the different tones of green. Can't wait to see it quilted!
What a gorgeous quilt. Isn't it amazing how leaders and enders can make a beautiful quilt?
