I learned a lot from this quilt:
1. I will not be doing a trunk show anytime in the near future.
2. My applique stitch needs to be longer.
3. Bigger is not better.
4. Quilting this one was not fun. (with my fibromyalgia flaring up , this was a task!)
5. I enjoy the piecing process better.
6. Long term projects do not get the love and respect they require.
7. Smaller is better for me.
8. I hate using flannel in the back. ( it makes my hands very dry)
9. I need to take more classes.
10. Long arm quilting services are starting to look good to me!
11. The quilt police will get me on this one.
This quilt was finish #3. Two to go.
Though I did complain alot about this quilt, it does look good hanging in my sewing room. I am very pleased with my color selection, just not my quilting technique.

That is super lovely!
Did you hand quilt it?
Tell the quilt police to back off, it is your quilt and it is beautiful.
The quilt is incredible! I really love it.
All the little problems you see certainly don't show in the photo! But I definitely agree about one thing -- your color selection is wonderful!
Betsy....just beautiful and so much work...congratulations on another finish.
This quilt is great - I really love the colors! ^debbie^
the quilt is lovely...don't worry about the quilt police!
You did it!!! and that is all that really matters. I think it is beautiful. I did it to. I am just finishing the border of Times Remembered, but I have changed it. All bees and butterflies. It sure was a big one! My first applique project. Job well done.
Tell the Quilt Police to take a hike! Your quilt looks fine and it has been a learning experience for you. Enjoy the finished product and apply what you have learned to the next quilt.
The quilt is gorgeous - love the colours.
